Man, woman commit suicide on railway track

A man and a woman, suspected to be in a love relationship, allegedly committed suicide by lying on the railway track between Badlapur and Wangani railway stations on the Central Railway route, police said today.
According to PRO, Government Railway Police (GRP), the duo were found dead on the tracks between the two railway stations in the district on Friday night and they are ascertaining when the incident took place.
They were residents of Ratnagiri in Konkan and it is suspected they were in an affair, the PRO said.
While the man was identified as Suresh Shinde (23), the woman is yet to be identified.
The exact reason behind their suicide is yet to be known.
The bodies have been sent to the Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar here for postmortem, while the Kalyan GRP is carrying out further investigation into the incident.
