Leopard found dead in J-K

A leopard was found dead with its nails missing in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said today.
A team of wildlife protection department officials yesterday recovered the carcass of the leopard from Gundnah forest area of Doda, Wildlife Warden Majid Bashir told PTI.
The nails of the big cat were found missing in the post- mortem conducted at the Veterinary Hospital Doda, he said.
After which, on the complaint of the department, an FIR was registered in connection with the matter, the warden said.
It was not immediately known how the leopard died, the official said, adding the autopsy report is awaited.
