In a special meeting held here recently, it was resolved that offices would be set up in Kadri, Mallikate and Surathkal, which would have all the facilities available at the MCC head office at Lalbagh, a release here said today.
This would also avoid crowding in main building of the corporation.
MCC commissioner Mohammed Nazeer said, the powers for providing trade and building licences would be given to the zonal offices.
Births and deaths could also be registered in these offices, he said.
The total cost of the three phases of the automation project was estimated at Rs 3.44 crore.
