Irfan had applied to the court in June that he be made a prosecution witness and granted pardon as he wanted to tell the truth to the court.
Masood was shot dead outside her house in Bhopal on August 16, 2011.
CBI alleged Bhopal-based interior designer Zahida Pervez conspired to kill Masood as she was jealous of Masood's alleged relationship with former BJP MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh.
