"Yah, sure the whole incident. The attack and its aftermath, the protests, the girl's death, and renewed protests should certainly be reflected in our future Hindi films," the critically acclaimed actor told PTI here tonight.
Rahul, who earlier addressed a debate whether 'media has failed people' lauded the role of media observing it has not failed people and society in this case.
"But I don't think candle light protests are a fad which started with Rang De Basanti. If people feel like letting out their emotions they resort to such things and it is not that they were inspired by any film. But RDB was certainly a great film," the Everybody Says I am Fine actor said.
Rahul, whose intense portrayals in Mr and Mrs Iyer, Anuranan and recent Laptop had won unstinted praises, was also starring in Sesher Kabita based on Rabindranath Tagore's lyrical work.
The Suman Mukhopadhyay directed movie, where he was cast in the character of Amyt Bose opposite Labonyo essayed by Konkona Sen Sharma, will be released in another three months time, Rahul said.
The debate was organised by Calcutta Chamber of Commerce, a leading industry body of the city.
