"As there were possibilities of vector-borne and water-borne diseases in five districts of Jodhpur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Sirohi and Pali, medical officers conducted field visit and the block CMHO rank officials were given necessary instructions," Director, Medical and Health Department (Public Health), B R Meena told PTI.
He said while at present there were no reports of outbreak of any disease, stock of medicines and other logistics have been ensured.
Meanwhile, Meena said the malaria cases reported in the state from January 1 to August 6 were 2495 as compared to 2661 in the corresponding period last year, whereas 152 cases of dengue were recorded from July 1 to August 6 against 148 cases of the same period last year.
