Two men have pleaded not guilty to conspiring to support the Islamic State group in a plot to kill a conservative blogger who has angered Muslims.
David Wright and Nicholas Rovinski entered the pleas today in federal court in Boston.
Both were indicted yesterday on charges of conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist organization by plotting with Boston terror suspect Usaamah Rahim to behead blogger Pamela Geller. The plot wasn't carried out.
Rahim was killed by investigators who say he lunged at them with a knife in Boston this month. Rahim's family has questioned that account.
Prosecutors wanted Wright and Rovinski held without bail until trial. Their lawyers didn't argue for bail.
A status conference is set for July 29.
