Mentha oil prices fell Rs 9.70, or 1.14%, to Rs 840.40 per kg in futures trade today as speculators booked profits amid subdued spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May fell by Rs 9.70 or 1.14% to Rs 840.40 per kg with a business volume of 31 lots.
Similarly, mentha oil for current month delivery traded down by Rs 6.40 or 0.76% to Rs 834.20 per kg with a business turnover of 275 lots.
The fall in mentha oil prices at futures trade was mostly due to profit-booking by speculators and a weak trend at spot market on subdued demand, marketmen said.
