Merchant XI trounce Phadkar XI by an innings
Shot out for 94 in the first innings, Phadkar XI were skittled out for 118 in the second to slump to a humiliating defeat.
Centuries by Ramanpreet Singh and Amogh Bhatkal, supported by half centuries from Rahul Bharadwaj and Amit Kadam, put Khandu Rangnekar XI against Vijay Manjrekar XI in the other league game.
After Rangnekar XI posted a formidable 417 in the first innings, medium pacer Sarabjit Singh (5 for 26) and left arm spinner Kadam (3 for 18) bowled out Manjrekar XI for a paltry score of 80.
Following on, Manjrekar XI were 68 for 1, still 269 behind to avoid an innings defeat.
