Filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has rubbished reports that Milkha Singh is upset with him over 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' profit, saying there is no problem between them.
There were reports that Singh was disappointed after Mehra did not keep his promise of donating a certain amount of the movie profit to the athlete's charity trust. Singh had reportedly sold the right to his biopic for Rs 1.
Mehra, however, says Singh was misquoted.
"I read the story a few days back. Media likes to sensationalise. I can't do anything about it. I spoke to Jeev (Milkha Singh's son) about it... He said he is upset because Milkhaji was misquoted," the director told PTI.
The National award-winning film, starring Farhan Akhtar and directed-produced by Mehra, was inspired by Milkha Singh's autobiography 'The Race of My Life'.
