Kargil town recorded the minimum at minus 5.6 degrees Celsius. Srinagar, the summer capital of the state, had a low of minus 2 degrees Celsius, a MeT department official said.
The mercury in famous ski-resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir dropped to minus 2.4 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 4.6 degrees Celsius, the official said.
Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded the minimum at minus 3 degrees Celsius, while in Kokernag town in south it was 1 degree Celsius, he said.
The weatherman said dry weather conditions will prevail in the state over the week ahead.
