"It is not over ambitious, it is realistic. It is poor- friendly, farmer-friendly, youth-friendly, women-friendly and senior-citizen friendly," he said.

He said it has successfully captured the imagination of the people by addressing their hopes and aspirations.
By allocating Rs 3000 crore for police modernisation the Budget will help in strengthening existing police infrastructure in the country, he said.
The allocation of Rs 500 crore for displaced Kashmiri migrants will help in expediting the process of relief and rehabilitation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said the budget seeks to improve the health and wealth of the individual and the nation.
"It is aimed at 'operation revival' of the nation's economy. Manufacturing sector, agriculture sector, small and medium enterprises will get a major boost," he said.
He said the Budget seeks to revive the nation's economy by addressing various bottlenecks being faced by the critical sectors of manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, small and medium enterprises and urban development.
Naidu, who also holds the charge of Urban Development Ministry, said he is happy that urban renewal, housing, better amenities to the urban people have been given priority and incentives have been announced for the housing sector.
