The incident took place yesterday evening when the 17-year-old boy hit Meena Devi.
Seeing a mob charging towards him, the youth tried to flee but ended up hitting three more people on the road. He also hit a cycle-rickshaw, a stall and another car before coming to a halt, police said.
Locals called the police which rushed injured to a nearby hospital where Meena Devi was declared brought dead while the others were treated for their injuries.
Medical examination of the juvenile did not find him inebriated when the incident took place.
Meena's body was handed over to her relatives after a post mortem examination.
