Switzerland Tourism today said it expects a 5 per cent growth in night stays by Indian travellers in 2015.
"We expect five per cent growth in Indian tourists night stays in Switzerland as compared to 2014. Looking at the economy and the world market, especially with the appreciation of our currency Swiss franc, we realistically expect single digit growth," Switzerland Tourism India's Deputy Director Ritu Sharma told PTI here.
Indians spent 4,80,000 nights last year in Switzerland.
After 2012, growth in tourism traffic to Switzerland dropped from double digit to single digit.
She said that marketing expenditure by Switzerland Tourism in India increased by three times compared to three years ago.
She said that Switzerland is looking at the younger generation by offering them a bouquet full of adventure, relaxation, cultural diversity, food and scenic landscapes among others.
