Minor girl commits suicide over eve teasing

A minor girl, who was distressed over repeated eve teasing by some youths, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in a well in Barshi Takli taluka in the district.
The victim, a resident of Jalalabad village here, was fed up with continual harassment by two to three youths of the village, police said.
There was no let-up even after the girl's father confronted the miscreants, they said.
The girl ended her life by jumping in a well on Saturday. The body was recovered yesterday, police said.
The matter is being investigated, they said.
This is the second such incident in the district in recent times. A girl committed suicide last month after being subjected to eve teasing at Hiwarkhed village here.
