The body of the girl, with injury marks, was recovered from a sugarcane field, it said.
Additional Superintendent of Police D N Chaudhary along with other police officials rushed to the village.
An FIR was lodged and the body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain whether the girl was raped.
Chaudhary said rape and POCSO act violation charges would be added after the post mortem report.
