A complaint was lodged by the family members of the minor girl on June 9 with the police that their daughter has been kidnapped by one Sohan Lal from Kaliyan Mansan Phallain Mandal on the outskirts of Jammu, a police spokesman said today.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and started investigations, he said, adding special teams were constituted on the directions of SSP Jammu, Sunil Gupta.
Acting on a specific information, police team from Phallain Mandal conducted a raid in Gangyal area of Jammu and rescued the kidnapped girl and also arrested the kidnapper yesterday, he said.
