According to the complaint lodged by victim's father, the eight-year-old girl was raped by Mukesh, who was a tenant in their house at Tejaji-ka-Bara in Jaipur's sub-urban town of Sanganerand, one-and-a-half year ago and was luring the girl again, they said.
The incident came into the fore after the girl reported about the accused to her parents on April 30 when he tried to assault her again in the Chaksu village, police said.
The girl's statement would be recorded before the magistrate tomorrow, they said, adding that the medical examination of the victim has been conducted.
An FIR was registered in the incident at the Sanganer police station yesterday, police said.
Efforts are on to nab the accused who recently vacated the house and is absconding, they added.
