The body of the girl, who went missing on November 5, was found hanging from the tree last night, Additional Superintendent of Police Brijesh Srivastava said.
In a police complaint filed Monday last, the girl's family had alleged that Mukesh Gangwar had kidnapped her and hanged the victim after murder, the ASP said.
A raid was conducted at Mukesh's house but he was absconding, Srivastava said, adding the girl's body has been sent for post-mortem.
