The company's senior vice president Yasuhiko Kitagawa conveyed this to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during the latter's ongoing visit to Japan.
This centre is part of the company's global corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, a statement issued by the CM's office said.
The company also expressed interest to celebrate renowned Indian agricultural scientist M S Swaminathan's 90th birthday in collaboration with the state government for which Naidu has proposed Amaravati as the venue for the event.
Meanwhile, president of Yokohama Port, Masayuki Takashima, told Naidu that the port would prepare a master plan for collaboration between it and ports in Andhra Pradesh such as Kakinada, Krishnapatnam and Visakhapatnam.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) vice president Hideaki Domichi said JICA would like to consider participation in capital consultancy bid and also participate in power project financing of the Chennai-Bangalore Industrial Corridor project and Krishnapatnam Industrial park.
