Chief minister Lal Thanhawla made obituary references to the two leaders saying their demise was a great and irrepairable loss to the Mizo people.
Other members including opposition leader Vanlalzawma also spoke about the contributions of the two leaders to the development of Mizoram and the society.
One-minute silence was observed in the Assembly as a mark of respect for the departed leaders.
