The four-hour-long daily DDK programme would now be extended to six hours from this evening.
Lal Thanhawla appealed to the authorities of Prasar Bharati to change the schedule of the news bulletin of either DD Aizawl or All India Radio to benefit the listeners as the bulletins were now televised and broadcast at the same time every evening.
He said he would give instructions to the deputy commissioners of all districts to follow the mandatory policy of telecasting the DDK programme in the local television channels.
