"(PM) Narendra Modi or BJP government rather than giving the details of their achievements, was presenting our old achievements in new packaging and claiming these achievements as their own," Congress spokesman Anand Sharma told mediapersons here.
He accused the BJP of forming government after "misleading people" and showing "hollow promises".
It was during the UPA government, the national manufacturing policy was framed for boosting industrialisation and industrial corridors were given go ahead, he said, adding that, work on Jammu and Kashmir rail network and power project in the state was done under previous UPA regime.
"But Modi during his recent overseas visits, tried to project that these achievements came by after BJP came to power. Prime Minister should have some politeness and he should not say anything which can challenge wisdom of voters. There is no political honesty in it," he said.
He was referring to Modi's attack on Congress during rallies in Maharashtra and Haryana, saying those seeking audit of his performance of four months in power, have done little in the last 60 years.
Sharma also took a dig at Modi government's 'Make in India' campaign, saying the previous UPA government had taken several steps in this regard.
"The simplification of procedures was also done and national manufacturing policy was notified in 2011," he said.
"It is an insult of nation when you (Modi) say that nothing was happened in last 60 years. It is an insult of all previous government, including previous NDA government under Atal Bihari Vajpayee," he said.
Referring to 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan', he said it was earlier named as 'Nirmal Abhiyaan' launched by UPA government while 'Jan Dhan Yojna' was nothing but 'Swabhiman Yojna' launched by the then Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
On the Narendra Modi's recent US visit, Sharma said why the government did not take up the issue of H1B1 visa issue with the US which had hurt the Indian software companies hard.
