Narendra Modi today sought a feedback on the political scenario in the Union Territory of Chandigarh during a "quick meeting" with the party's local unit chief, Sanjay Tandon, at the airport here.
Modi made a stopover at Chandigarh airport en route to Sujanpur in Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh where he addressed a rally today, a BJP spokesman said.
Chandigarh BJP workers had gone to meet the party's prime ministerial candidate at the airport and it was there that Tandon held the brief discussion with him, the spokesman added.
Tandon later said that he apprised Modi about the "success" of the party's 'Ek note, Kamal par vote' campaign.
Tandon told Modi that "the campaign has been receiving an overwhelming response and we are focussing on touching every household".
Talking about a proposed 'Missed Call' campaign, Tandon said, "We will launch a toll-free number shortly to connect with people in Chandigarh. We will set up a call centre where people just have to give a missed call to have our volunteers get in touch with them.
"The volunteer will then provide a kit to the interested individuals about Modi's vison and BJP's mission of securing 272-plus seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections," Tandon said.
Tandon also spoke to Modi about the response generated by the 'Chai Pe Charcha' campaign.
