A minor system of the South-West Monsoon did prevail causing moderate to heavy rains in north-eastern regions of Alwar, Bharatpur, Kota, Bundi, and Jaipur divisions, B N Vishnoi, the state MeT director told PTI.
Hindoli received 19 cms of rainfall till 8:30 AM today, he said.
Monsoon trough from Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh also approached the border districts of Rajasthan triggering showers, he said.
Meanwhile, Kota recorded 11 cm rainfall followed by Sangod with 9 cm, Bundi 8 cm, Bakani-Dagod-Nainwa 7 cms each, Shahbad and Patan 6 cms each, and one to five cm at many places in the rain-affected divisions.
North-west regions covering Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu remained dry and hot.
Scattered rains will continue in parts of Rajasthan till tomorrow, a forecast said.
