More than 1 crore robbed from cash van of bank

Unidentified miscreants today robbed more than Rs 1 crore from a cash van of a bank at the busy Hussainganj locality here, police said.
A box containing Rs 1.30 crore, meant to be deposited in a Bank of Baroda ATM, was robbed from the van by the accused when it arrived outside the Bank of Baroda ATM to deposit money, police said.
The incident came to light when the bank employees were about to load money into the ATM and they found the box missing, they said.
The box could have been robbed while the van was in movement, police said, adding that senior officials have rushed to the spot and investigation is on.

The bank staff and some other persons are being questioned in this connection, they said.
