Morning fog likely in city, north over next 2 days: MeT

The national capital and parts of northern India are likely to witness fog over the next couple of days or so due to a western disturbance, the MeT Department said today.
Weather officials said foggy conditions could prevail in the coming two to three days with overcast skies and a drizzle greeting Delhiites this morning.
"There is a western disturbance; it will bring in moisture and, because of falling temparatures, there could be fog. It will be there in the next two to three days," a MeT official said.
The western disturbance, which lies over north Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir, has led to an induced cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining Uttar Pradesh, extending up to 2.1km over mean sea level.

The disturbance would move eastwards during the coming 24 hours, added MeT.
In a mid-day weather bulletin, the MeT forcast that "fog may occur at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh from tomorrow".
The fog warning comes amidst a fall in night temperatures for Delhiites with the minimum in the city settling below 20 degrees for the last one week.
