The two journalists were arrested yesterday by Hussaini Alam police on a complaint lodged by family members of the spiritual leader alleging that the channel defamed him by "calling him a land grabber and doing black-magic".
The duo was sent to 13-day judicial custody after they were produced before the magistrate at Saidabad, police said.
Cases were booked against the channel on September 13 following allegations that it morphed the visuals which were aired with a news report on a meeting between Dinesh Reddy and the spiritual leader.
