The woman Kasimi Biwi (36) and her six-year-old son were run over and killed by the Gitanjali express while crossing the level crossing near the Kulgachia railway station, the sources said.
The gateman at the level crossing had closed the gate but still the woman and her son tried to cross the level while the train was approaching and were run over and killed, the sources added.
