Mountain rail service cancelled again for two days
The joy of passengers of Nilgiris Mountain Rail (NMR) was shortlived, as the service would again be cancelled for two days from December 2 because of the inclement weather.
The service resumed on Saturday after 14 days owing to landslips and fallen trees on the track between Mettupalyam and Udhagamandalam.
On Sunday, the announcement on the cancellation of the service on December 2-3 was again made in the wake of the rains, a press release from the railways said.
