Mountain torrents today triggered landslides in an ethnic region in south China's Hunan Province, damaging several homes and disrupting rail services.
The authorities in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in west Hunan are still investigating the damage caused by the landslides.
No casualties have been reported so far, according to state-run Xinhua news agency.
The landslides affected a section of rail track linking Jiaozuo City in central China's Henan Province with Liuzhou in southwest China's Guangxi. It also damaged a section of a provincial highway.
The mountain torrents were caused by heavy rains.
