MP Governor, Chief Minister condole Kalam's death

Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed their profound grief over the death of former President A P J Abdul Kalam today.
In his condolence message, Yadav said that Kalam was not only a scientist, but also a person of versatile talent as well an able administrator. The Governor said that the country has suffered an irreparable loss.
The Governor said that Kalam also strived to position India at the highest pedestal in all sectors. An entire generation has benefited by books written by him. He prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul.
Remembering late Kalam's services to the nation, the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said that the country had lost "a visionary".
The MP Chief Minister said that Kalam, who was known as "the Missile Man", had great foresight and vision about India's development. He not only dreamt to make India a developed country by 2020, but also prescribed a concrete vision and guidelines for this. He proved that a person from a modest family background can make it to the highest office by virtue of talent and hard work.
Public Relations Minister Rajendra Shukla said that he was the first President, who along with discharging his constitutional duties, also put forth a vision to the young generation. He was not only a scientist and administrator, but had also took keen interest in arts, culture and various other spheres of life.
A seven-day state mourning has been announced in Madhya Pradesh over the death of former President A P J Abdul Kalam. Flags will fly at half mast during the mourning period.
