BMHRC, a 350-bed multi-speciality tertiary care centre, is managed by Union Health Ministry.
"The state government has submitted a proposal to develop a medical PG teaching institute in the BMHRC as well. Various other decisions for the revival of BMHRC have also been taken at a meeting yesterday," Vishwas Sarang, MoS for Bhopal Gas Relief and Rehabilitation, told reporters today.
Sarang yesterday held a high-level meeting with Manoj Pant, Joint Secretary, Department of Health and Research, Union Health Ministry.
He said 17 departments were instituted initially at the health centre but most of them are non-operational in absence of doctors and experts.
"Health Ministry officials have assured to fill vacant posts of contractual doctors immediately and other regular posts during next six months," the minister added.
Sarang, also an MoS for Cooperatives, said a panel of private and government hospitals would be constituted for the treatment of gas victims.
