MP govt to help class XII toppers to prepare for UPSC exams

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that his government will support the toppers of class XII to help them prepare for competitive exams.
"The government will extend support to the toppers of class XII to help them prepare for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination and also announced a scheme in this regard," an official of the state Public Relation department said today.
The CM made the announcement at a scholarship distribution programme organised by a private news channel last evening.
Minister for Water Resources and Public Relations, Narottam Mishra, Minister for Home and Transport Bhupendra Singh, Minister for School Education Vijay Shah, Mayor Alok Sharma and Bhopal MP Alok Sanjar among others were present at the event.

Exhorting girls to strive for knowledge and success in every field, Chouhan said the government would extend all possible help to them.
Asserting that there will be no shortage of funds in providing education, he said his government was determined to improve the life of "daughters" in the state.

There are as many as 23 lakh girls in the state, who stand to get Rs 1 lakh monetary benefit under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana (LLY), he said.
A new innovative scheme has been introduced to promote talent, Chouhan said adding, "the government will pay the fees of students, who get admissions in premier national institutes through all India competition."

He also underlined the need to remove gender disparity, saying it was not a part of Indian culture.
