The Chief Minister assured the delegation of 'Self-Help Group of Engineers Association', which called on him for proper redressal of their grievances, saying he will encourage genuine self-help groups of engineers so that they get equal opportunities in allotment of work contracts floated by various government departments, an official spokesman said.
Mufti told them that he would pass directions to the authorities concerned to revamp the broad contours of a scheme for unemployed engineers to provide a level-playing field to them.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also visited the residence of senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad to convey his condolences on the demise of his mother.
