Assuring "friendly business environment and unparallelled support", Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today called upon the industry to invest in the state on a large scale.
"Andhra Pradesh is rich with natural resources like gas, bauxite, limestone, coal, beach sand, granite, etc. Which is suitable for entrepreneurs to invest and set up their units here," Naidu said at the launch of 'Industry Mission and Industrial Development Policy 2015-20' here today.
"The state has a 974-km coastline and the government has decided to lay four-lane roads along the coastline to turn it into a logistic hub for the South East Asian countries in future," he said.
Keeping overall development of the state in mind, the state government is taking all measures to promote industry in a big way, which will help generate jobs, the CM added.
"The government is committed to providing friendly business environment, best-in-class policies and unparallelled support in attracting and facilitating industrial investments. Various institutional mechanisms had been put in place to simplify processes and procedures," Naidu said.
Assuring quality power, land and water supply for the industry, the Chief Minister said the government will clear licences for the units within 21 days without any hurdles.
"The government has launched a single desk portal for the industry for this purpose. The single desk policy would act as a strong foundation for improvising business environment in the state and make the state a leading destination for both domestic and global investment.
The Chief Minister said his government has constituted seven missions, as part of the 'Vision 2029' to facilitate inter-departmental synergy and optimising public and private investment by providing an effective planning and delivery mechanism.
At the event, the government inked 46 MoUs attracting potential investment of Rs 35,745 crore.
The Chief Minister also handed land allotment letters to Asian Paints (for Visakhapatnam unit), ONGC (for Kakinada facility) and KRIBCO (for Nellore), among others.
