The Union Minister said the Centre is trying to evolve broad consensus over passage of bills like GST and Land Acquisition for development, but "some parties" are opposing the legislation in Rajya Sabha "to hurt Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and in turn are hurting nation and people".
Urging electors in Bihar to vote for BJP to remove these "obstructions", he said, "Bihar is a big state. (Victory) here will have reflection in Rajya Sabha. I request to people of Bihar that this is not just Assembly elections... There will be change in Rajya Sabha (if they vote for BJP). Modiji is doing a good job for development of the country.
Accusing JD(U)-RJD combine of running 'jungle raj' in Bihar since last several years, Naidu maintained that his party will contest the polls only on the issue of development.
On BJP clinching Port Blair Municipal Council defeating Congress, the minister suggested leadership of the UPA major to "sit and introspect" on why it was on a "losing spree" in islands as well after facing defeats in mainland.
Referring to PM Narendra Modi's dig at "pseudo secularists" while addressing a gathering of Indian diaspora in Dublin yesterday, Naidu said it has become a "fashion" to insult Indian culture, civilisation and tradition for those "stricken" by Western psychology and Leftist ideology.
He advised Congress and other opposition parties to give up "pseudo secularism" and follow Indian tradition of sarvdharmasambhav (secularism).
The camp was also visited by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Health Minister J P Nadda, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju besides several senior BJP leaders.
