Nalco had registered a net profit of Rs 354 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, an official release said.
The net sales turnover in the quarter was Rs 1,616 crore, it said.
"Nalco has registered profits in all the three quarters of the present fiscal despite entire global aluminium industry reeling under severe market slowdown and many companies reporting losses," it said.
Net profit for the nine-month period ended December 31, 2015, stood at Rs 523 crore, against Rs 967 crore in the the corresponding period last fiscal.
However, the Navratna company achieved growth in production in all segments.
During the first nine months of the current fiscal, production of bauxite stood at 45.74 lakh tonnes as compared to 43.04 lakh tonnes achieved during the comparable period of the previous fiscal.
The company produced 14.37 lakh tonnes of alumina hydrate, against 14.24 lakh tonnes earlier.
Metal production was at 2.76 lakh tonnes, as against 2.44 lakh tonnes earlier, while net power generated during the period stood at 4,351 million units, compared to 3,858 million units achieved in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
