Narendra Jadhav conferred with 'Maharishi Valmiki Prize'

Planning Commission member Narendra Jadhav has been conferred with 'Maharishi Valmiki Prize' for his contribution to the fields of education, finance and literature.
The prize, conferred every year by Champaran Cultural Festival Committee, Motihari, Bihar, carries a memento and Rs one lakh.
Jadhav, who is also a member of the National Advisory Council, has donated the award money to 'Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund' yesterday.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has appreciated the gesture, Jadhav's office said.
