National Health Policy will be a game changer: CII
Press Trust of India New Delhi The national health policy will prove to be a game changer, industry chamber CII said today.
"With shift to wellness and prevention from sick care, and the increase in public health expenditure to 2.5 per cent of the GDP, the National Health policy 2017 has its heart in the right place," Naresh Trehan, Chairman, CII National Healthcare Council said in a statement.
He said the game changer will be the integration of AAYUSH by way of promotion of cross referrals, co-location and integration in practices.
"The private sector is already partnering the government in this journey and has submitted draft frameworks for PPPs in several areas such as medical education and teaching hospitals," he added.
The government yesterday approved the National Health Policy which proposes to provide "assured health services to all" in the country.
