Addressing a press conference aboard INS Shivalik here in connection with the Navy Day tomorrow, Soni also said that a naval airfield would come up at Bobbili in Vizianagaram district, for which a no objection certificate has been obtained from the Andhra Pradesh government.
Talking about the international fleet review, to be held in February 2016, Soni said Navy had already sent invitations to 76 countries and 30 countries had responded so far.
The Navy Day is celebrated on December 4 to commemorate the successful operations conducted by the Indian Navy during 1971 Bangladesh war.
