The chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) will be entitled to fixed monthly pay of Rs 90,000 besides other allowances.
NCLAT would be the appellate body for National Company Law Tribunal, which would replace the Company Law Board.
The tribunal and NCLAT are being set up under the new Companies Act.
The Corporate Affairs Ministry in a release today said NCLAT chairperson would be entitled to a fixed monthly pay of Rs 90,000 and such other allowances as are admissible to an officer in the cabinet secretary's scale.
"A judicial/technical member will be paid salary in the pay scale of Rs 80,000 (fixed) and such other allowances as are admissible to an officer in the apex scale," it noted.
The Ministry has notified the NCLAT (Salaries, Allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson and other Members) Rules, 2014.
Meanwhile, the government has finalised a fixed monthly pay of Rs 80,000 besides other allowances for the president of National Company Law Tribunal.
For judicial and technical members of NCLT, salaries would be in the pay scale of Rs 67,000 to Rs 79,000. Besides an annual increment of three per cent, they would also be entitled for allowances.
