"The policies adopted by the UPA government in HRD would be reviewed and if need be, modifications would be made," MoS HRD Katheria told reporters here.
Highlighting the Clean Ganga project undertaken by the NDA government, he said Yamuna would be cleaned the same way.
"The way Ganga cleaning operation is being done, Yamuna would be cleaned the same way... Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati is sincerely working and I hope cleaning of Yamuna would start in a year," he said when asked about the Yamuna cleaning plan.
"The process of compensation is about to be completed. Farmers would get compensation in one or two month," he said.
The minister, however, did not divulge details on withdrawal of cases against farmers and BJYM activists who had protested against non-payment of compensation for their land inundated due to construction of Gokul barrage earlier this month.
"I would brief the Home Minister about the incident," he said.
