Daimary, alias D R Nabla, was granted bail in all the 14 cases including the October 30 blasts and he left the jail this morning accompanied by his sister and women activist Anjali Daimary.
The court, while granting bail to Daimary, restricted him from interacting with the media, leaving the country and involving himself in the organisational work of NDFB, besides directing him to surrender his passport.
The court also directed Assam government to provide him with adequate security after his release from jail.
In the other cases, the state government had submitted before the Court that it had no-objection to his release to facilitate Daimary's participation in the peace process.
The cases against Daimary were registered under the Special Operations Unit of Assam Police and Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act.
He was arrested in Bangladesh in May 2010 and pushed back. He had been in Guwahati central jail since then.
