"The civic body (NDMC) received Rs 6.79 crore as property tax, Rs.6.50 crore as conversion charges and Rs 2 crore as parking license fees settlement, thus earning a total of Rs 15.29 crores from November 11 to November 18," Mayor Sanjeev Nayyar of North Delhi Municipal Corporation said.
He expressed hope that NDMC will earn a good amount of revenue since the last date to receive old denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 is November 24, and the municipal corporation has announced an amnesty scheme for property tax defaulters.
Those who do so by March will get 100 per cent rebate on penalty and 50 per cent waiver on interest amount, he said.
