Nearly Rs 2.5-cr cash seized during IT raid at trader's home

Income Tax Department sleuths raided the residence of a trader in the neighbouring Shamli district and seized nearly Rs 2.5 crore in cash, an official said today.
According to the department's Commissioner Yogesh Nayyar, Rs 2,35,0000 in cash was seized from the residence of during the raid yesterday, besides documents about undeclared assets.
The officer said some of the documents relate to 'benami properties'.
