New college of architecture launched in Coimbatore

Considering the huge demand for architects and interior designers, city-based Coimbatore Educational and Charitable Trust today launched its Capital College of Architecture, with a five-year degree programme.
The college, approved by Council of Architecture, Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, would focus on nurturing, inspiring and equipping students with the best of knowledge, tools and training, Roy Thakaran, Chairman of the Trust, said here.
The five-year Bachelor Degree programe in Architecture includes Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration, Diploma in project management, Five International Architectural visits, five National Architectural visits and seminars by leading architects from India and abroad, he said.
The trust is already in the education sector, running a MBA college in Mysore in Karnataka, he said.

Federal Bank offers 10% cash back for buying mobiles * Federal Bank has announced 10 per cent cash back for all its debit card holders for purchase of Samsung mobile phones and tablets ranging from Rs 10,000 onwards, to celebrate the coming festival season.
The offer is extended in association with Samsung and is available at over 9,000 select merchant outlets across the country, a bank release said.
The offer will run during the period from August 13-September 10, it said.

Espirito Santo Sec appoints Santosh Singh as head of research * Espirito Santo Securities India today announced the appointment of Santosh Singh as head of research in India.
Singh is currently the lead analyst for the coverage of non-bank financial companies. With his elevation to the new role, Singh will be responsible for expanding the equity research coverage in India, along with the team of 13 analysts, a company statement said.
As the Head of research in India, Singh will report to Premal Madhavji, Head - India Equities.

Reliance Digital launches Reconnect phone priced at Rs 12,999 * Reliance Digital today launched Reconnect Quad Core 4.7 inch dual sim 3G smart phone priced at Rs 12,999.
The device, which runs on Android 4.2.2, Jelly Bean software, is available in two colour options.
"The Quad Core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 processor powered android smart phone offers superior speed delivers unmatched performance," Reliance Digital said in a statement.
Reconnect offers HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and weighs 132.8gm.
