New J&K DGP meets Governor

Newly-appointed Jammu and Kashmir's Director General of Police S P Vaid today met Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here.
This was Vaid's first meeting with the governor after taking charge, an official spokesman said.
During the meeting, Vohra stressed on the vital importance of public order being maintained, as a first step towards securing peace and normalcy in the state, he said.
The Governor wished Vaid a successful tenure ahead.
Vaid took charge as the DGP on December 31st from K Rajendra Kumar after the latter's extension period of three months expired.
