"A PCR call was received, following which a police team was rushed to the spot where the girl was spotted. We admitted her at Baba Saheb Ambedkar hospital and later registered a case under Section 317 of IPC (Exposure and abandonment of child under twelve years, by parent or person having care of it)," DCP (Outer) Vikramjit Singh said adding that the police has so far not been able to track her parents.
According to police, the matter came to light yesterday morning when locals raised an alarm and informed the police.
The police are checking child delivery records of last two weeks pertaining to all hospitals in Delhi and details of the case have also been shared in the zonal integrated police network system, an official said.
