The National Investigation Agency (NIA) today filed a charge sheet in a court here against three accused, who were deported from the UAE for their alleged ISIS links, claiming that they were conspiring to carry out terror strikes in India and other countries.
According to sources, NIA chargesheeted the accused -- Sheikh Azhar Al Islam, Mohammad Farhan Shaikh and Adnan Hussain -- for allegedly supporting Islamic State.
The charge sheet was filed in the court of District Judge Amar Nath.
The three suspects, along with other unidentified associates, were allegedly involved in a conspiracy to identify, motivate, radicalise, recruit and train Indian citizens, located in India and abroad, for planning and executing terror attacks, NIA has claimed.
It alleged that they were in close contact with several active members of IS via internet, telephone and other means of communication in furtherance of its activities.
NIA alleged that the accused were conspiring to recruit of resident and non-resident Indians for IS activities.
